Department of Electrical Engineering

The Electrical Engineering program of study is accredited by the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET), http://www.ieet.org.tw/en/.  The undergraduate degree is the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and the undergraduate major is Electrical Engineering.

Student Outcomes

To ensure the highest academic quality and to conform to IEET requirements, the Electrical Engineering program of study is organized around Program Educational Objectives, which describe what our alumni should achieve as they grow professionally though their career, and Student Outcomes.

In support of the program educational objectives, each student in the Electrical Engineering program of study is expected to meet each of the following Student Outcomes upon graduation:

1.       An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering.

2.       An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.

3.       An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

4.       An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints.

5.       An ability to manage project, communicate effectively, function on multi-disciplinary teams.

6.       An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.

7.       The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context, and a recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning.
